From its inception as a mere daydream, this project possessed a distinct character of its own. The design team at JMR Landscaping collaborated closely with the clients, ensuring that this dream became a reality rather than a nightmare. The breathtaking view of Lake Michigan was further enhanced by the addition of an infinity-edge pool, framed by evergreen plantings that not only provided privacy but also accentuated the natural beauty of the landscape. Leveraging the site’s grade changes, the design skillfully delineated different spaces while maximizing unobstructed views of the lake. Even the pool cabana roof was ingeniously transformed into a garden space, enriching the vista from the upper levels of the Manor.

Elevated Design
The JMR team played an integral role in the design, construction, and oversight of this Lake Front Manor, orchestrating every aspect from the rear facade of the house to the serene shores of the Lake. With the client’s vision of hosting a grand annual Independence Day celebration, the spaces were meticulously crafted to balance everyday comfort with the flexibility to accommodate large gatherings. Along the beachfront, large armature stones not only safeguard the shoreline but also serve as steps leading down to a cozy firepit on the beach. Also protected by this wall is a ramp, providing convenient access for the clients to utilize a mobile boat launcher and safely store their watercraft inside the beach house when not in use.
